My team and I opened our concierge business in Dubai almost three years ago. It was a huge niche we spotted. Dubai was the first to recover from covid pandemic restrictions and did not close again. Dubai Expo 2020 happened as planned.

We realised that Dubai would become a world centre in the upcoming years. And we were right.

For many years, Dubai has established itself as a business-friendly city with a proactive government encouraging entrepreneurship and foreign investment. It offers a well-regulated and transparent legal system and simplified company setup procedures. Dubai’s economy is diversified and stable. It does not depend only on oil and gas but focuses on various sectors such as trade, tourism, finance, logistics and real estate.

What’s important personally for me is that Dubai offers a high standard of living, with excellent healthcare facilities, international schools, and entertainment options. Located in a Muslim country, Dubai began its transformation into a much more liberal city about ten years ago. Some people still worry that they won’t be able to buy alcohol in Dubai, but this is not an issue anymore. In December 2022, the Dubai government cancelled the fee for an alcohol license, which previously had to be obtained. Now you can buy great spirits and wine from the world’s best producers in specialised stores, bars, cafes, hotels, etc.

But probably the first thing expats pay attention to in Dubai is security, which is simply unprecedented. Dubai is an absolutely safe city. You can leave your phone in the mall returning for it in two hours, and you will still find it there. You can not worry about losing your passport in a taxi. If it happens, you can call the taxi operator, and they will bring it to you safe and sound. It might even come as a bit of a shock, especially after London, which has become even more criminal in recent years.

At the same time, Dubai is very similar to London regarding diversity. There is absolutely no so-called racism, and all nationalities are welcome. Studying is almost the same there as in the UK. If you come there from London, your children, in principle, will not feel the difference. There are some nuances, such as the obligatory Arabic language at schools, but it is also a thrill for children, as it is an exciting language to learn. In general, Dubai school graduates easily enter the best colleges in England and worldwide.
BSI Lifestyle has helped people relocate their businesses and families to Dubai for almost three years. There are a number of ways to apply for a resident visa, which we can help with.

For individuals with substantial wealth, we highly recommend the golden visa option, which grants a ten-year visa validity. To obtain this visa, an additional investment or property purchase is required, along with an approximate cost of $15,000. We also extend our assistance in securing work visas or investor visas, depending on the specific circumstances of our clients.
